WTWTA

After months and months of changing my mind, I ended up seeing Where the Wild Things Are at the midnight showing last Thursday. I went with very little expectations, kind of thinking it would bomb. Boy was I wrong. It was so simple and beautiful. The panoramic shots were just perfect and the scenery was dead on. Watching Max run across the desert brought tears to my eyes. As did seeing him say goodbye to the Wild Things. It was so believable and I left feeling amazing. I cant wait to see the directors cut.

Yeah, you.

Meow.

Pancakes is 6 months old today. My baby is growing soooo fast! Happy Birthday!

Speaking of....

Check out these cupcakes!!! So much better than the Star Wars batch I posted last week. Love it.

RIP Lou Albano

Anyone that follows my blog knows of my obsession with Super Mario Bros. I was so sad to learn that Lou Albano, the super talented live-action Mario passed away today.

"Wrestling fans know him as the WWE Hall of Famer who managed more than 50 wrestlers in his day, with more than two dozen championships won by athletes taken under his wing. 80's music fans might remember him from his appearances in many Cyndi Lauper music videos, including "Girls Just Want To Have Fun", "She Bop", "Time After Time" and "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough." As gamers, we of course remember him as the best live-action Mario of all time."

I miss him already.

No Day But Today.

True Beauty is Free.

Jerm IX

I love this guys stuff. Jerm IX creates 'street poetry' aimed at attacking world corruptions, scandals, and political issues.

Be happy.

Ed Holberg

This post is dedicated to my dear friend Ed that I dont see NEARLY enough. (call a girl for a beer yo!) This looks like something he would draw/design!

Someday I will post some of Ed's actual work on here. Someday.

Do it.

End of Ze World.

If you havent seen this yet, you should:

Mario Win.

Whoever the stock boy is at this grocery store has waaaaay too much time on his hands. And mad skills. I wonder if he is single.....

Twilight Fail.

This is a Twilight themed corn maze in Utah (a state full of mormons and retards) celebrating the new movie that's coming out later this year. But Team Jacob? Really?

Trashy or Classy?

Wow. This is the classiest/trashiest thing I have ever seen on a fingernail.

Wall E + Sammy

My two favorite things, WALL-E and Sandwiches, together. At last. Someone make me this!!

I Want This.

Gloria V Body Suit by American Apparel. I NEED this.

The Truth.

Oooh Robbie!

This is Robbie Spencer. He is the men's fashion editor for Dazed And Confused magazine and he will be my husband someday. That is all.

Status Updates

There's nothing I like more than facebook and video games. Well, maybe. But this is just hilarious!!

Pee Wee.

A few nights ago a friend and I had a long conversation about Pee Wee Herman. Basically I was saying I couldnt believe my parents let me watch such a $#%@ed up program when I was so young. I mean come on, he glued mirrors on his shoes to look up girl's dresses. WTF? Anyways, just because I don't think Pee Wee is suitable for small children DOESN'T mean I dont love him as an adult. In fact, when I'm done with this post I think I'll watch Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

So yeah, check out these amazing new Pee Wee Herman action figures.

'The 80's classic Pee-Wee's Playhouse is back with this line of action figures. The case of 14 pieces includes the following characters: 6x Pee Wee Herman, 3x Cowboy Curtis, 3x Miss Yvonne, 1x Pterri, and 1x Puppetland (Subject to change). These figures are highly detailed and must have for any Pee-Wee fan. Comes in retro-packaging to further the retro feel.'

I am just wondering why the set comes with SIX Pee Wee dolls. WTF?

Om Nom Nom.

Well now I am on a Star Wars kick. How delicious do these cupcakes look? The Vader one kind of sucks tho - he looks like a frog :/

Baby Vader.

I love this. Kind of makes me want to have babies, but only kind of. I think i'll stick with my 'no kids' lifestyle and buy this for my nephew! Zing!

Buddha Fruit.

Holy Moly.

This crazy Chinese woman has created the Buddha pear. Hao Xianzhang, a farmer in China, spent six years to perfect the process by growing the pears inside molds, local media reported. This is waaaaay cooler than that mary on toast bullshit.
